People have been using old grease for a long time. Also, homemade popcorn doesn't have all of the additives that you find in store bought popcorn, so yes I would argue that a little leftover pig fat (or coconut oil) is healthier than store bought popcorn.Amyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09326127651421456713noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3219826996002166204.post-22777288956544655492012-05-20T10:02:47.828-05:002012-05-20T10:02:47.828-05:00Claire I have tried it with coconut oil and olive ...Claire I have tried it with coconut oil and olive oil. My boys both have long sleeved rash vests and knee length board shorts, then it's just their necks, ears and face I need to worry about. Girls often wear long sleeved rash vests over their regular suit and at the beach, many girls will wear boardies too, usually a bit shorter than knee length though. The vests come in all sorts of funky colours and styles, I have a longsleeved one too.

I love them 'cos it saves having to slather the kids and myself in cream, which they hate.Cat J Bhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09392607219027350143noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3219826996002166204.post-51433882353462620532010-10-29T16:49:42.579-05:002010-10-29T16:49:42.579-05:00Just saw an idea on www.thriftyfun.com --- buy sch...Just saw an idea on www.thriftyfun.com --- buy school supplies or juice boxes/chips throughout the year on sale and give those. Put a pound of fried/drained ground beef, 2-3 cans of beans (choose from black beans, kidney beans, chili beans, pinto beans), can of rotel (optional), pkg of dry ranch dressing, pkg of dry taco seasoning, and a cup of corn (frozen or canned) into a pot to simmer for 15 minutes. Serve with corn chips, sour cream, and cheese. Clean up involves one pot and throwing away cans!

Also, have you tried the McCormick's white chicken chili seasoning mix?
